USFilter Opens in Puerto Rico

WARRENDALE, Pa., March 9, 2005 – USFilter announced today that it has opened an office in Puerto Rico to provide local sales and service to its customers, with a focus on those in the biopharmaceutical market.
Puerto Rico branch personnel include a service manager, service technicians and a service and products sales engineer. USFilter has contracted with PSC to serve as its manufacturers’ representative for USFilter capital equipment in Puerto Rico.
USFilter currently operates the largest service branch organization in the world for meeting customers’ process water needs. By opening this newest branch, USFilter will be able to offer its world-class service to customers in Puerto Rico, including service deionization, membrane care services, an extensive inventory of spare parts, and many other services and products. As an added benefit, USFilter will provide “virgin resin” to service deionization customers in Puerto Rico.
“We’re excited to be able to offer our customers in Puerto Rico a high level of local service and support,” says Jon Ruppert, Vice President Biopharm Industry at USFilter. “As in the past, factory trained field service personnel will start up and commission all new water treatment systems shipped to customers on the island.”
