Toys 'R' Us Helps Red Cross Aid Victims of Hurricane Charley
WAYNE, N.J., Sep 2, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- On August 31,
in the wake of devastation caused by Hurricane Charley, Toys "R" Us
donated and delivered two full truck loads of baby supplies and toys carrying
629,376 diapers, 320 packages of baby wipes, 2,160 32 oz. containers of formula,
1,080 Fisher Price play sets, and more than 15,000 plush toys to the Sarasota
branch Red Cross's warehouse.
"It has been very hard to see the damage that Hurricane Charley has caused
to the families that live in Charlotte County," said John Prawlocki, Toys
"R" Us Regional Vice President of the Southeast. "We wanted to
be able to help these families, and especially their children, put a little
joy back in to their lives."
With the help of local volunteers, the Red Cross will distribute these toys
and supplies to children and families in western Florida.

family of supporters," added Dee Ann Ingalls from the Charlotte County
Chapter of the Red Cross. "It is people like you who put your concern into
action that makes our community and our country strong. By donating the supplies
of baby items and toy's you are helping people continue a somewhat normal life.
Many people forget that the Children of this community have also lost all of
their valuable possessions. Thanks to Toys "R" Us, they too will be
on the road to recovery. On behalf of the residents of this community, the Charlotte
County Chapter of the American Red Cross would like to say, 'Thank you for all
