“Tonymobile'' Roars Across the Country with “Tony the Tiger'' and His Friends; Kellogg Company Launches Third Annual Tour
BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Feb 7, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- "Tony the Tiger" and some of his closest friends bring breakfast fun to families throughout the country as the third annual "Tonymobile Tour" gets underway. The Tour, which launches at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on February 12, showcases "Tony the Tiger" and his friends "Toucan Sam," "Dig'Em" and "Snap! Crackle! Pop!"
Over the next year, the famous "Kellogg's" characters will travel across the United States in the custom-made "Tonymobile" -- a 23-foot long, 13-foot high traveling "character-vehicle." "Tony" and his friends will visit some of America's most exciting festivals and fairs, bringing the "Kellogg's" gang to life for people of all ages. Following the tour launch in San Antonio, families can mingle with the "Kellogg's" characters in cities such as Miami, Philadelphia, Denver, Baltimore and Washington, DC. In addition, new stops on this year's tour include events in Atlanta, Boston, Raleigh, Cleveland and Macon, Georgia.
While visiting the "Tonymobile," families have an opportunity to take photos with "Tony" and his friends and learn about their favorite characters and cereals. Trivia contests, fun giveaways and samples of "Kellogg's" newest products are also available.

The 'Tonymobile,' designed by Prototype Source in Santa Barbara, CA, weighs 9,500 pounds (or 4.75 tons), has over 20 different colors and took 3,000 hours to build. It runs at 285 horsepower and features a Chevrolet 350 Vortec V-8 engine.
