KBR Organizes Vehicle Health Check Day
March 3, 2004 ABERDEEN - Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) Production Services has organised a health-check day with a difference on Wednesday 3rd March, 2004, for KBR and Canadian Natural Resources (CNR) personnel at their Craigshaw offices on the south side of Aberdeen. KBR is the engineering, construction and services subsidiary of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).
KBR believes that an incident-free working environment is achievable. Safety, whether at work, at home or in between is no accident, and KBR assignment manager at the Craigshaw offices, Bill Yuile, is determined to ensure that all the bases are covered for personnel.
"We focus on operating safely at work every day and have had interactive workshops covering safety in the home," says Bill. "Now what we intend to do is to focus people's attention on the gap in between - the journey between home and work. To do this we are holding a car health-check day for all KBR and CNR personnel at our Craigshaw offices."
During the car health-check day, personnel will have the opportunity to have a series of checks carried out on their vehicles by AA Service Centre technicians. These are to include tyres, battery and charging system, cooling system, general fluid levels, external lights and windscreen wipers and washers. The checks should highlight any potentially hazardous failings in vehicles and ensure drivers feel reassured about their safety while driving.
