The viaLink Company Announces Frito-Lay Veteran Steve Conover as Vice President
of Strategic Projects
Edmond, OK -- March 15, 1999
The viaLink Company [Nasdaq:IQIQ] today announced that Steve Conover has been
appointed vice president of strategic projects.
Mr. Conover joins the viaLink Company with over 22 years of experience in the
packaged goods industry, most recently as senior group manager of supply chain
innovation with Frito-Lay and PepsiCo, Inc.
As viaLink's vice president of strategic projects, Conover will be responsible
for the strategic deployment of viaLink's revolutionary solutions for business-to-business
electronic commerce, including the functionality of Scan Based Trading (SBT)
and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR).
"Steve has a rare combination of industry experience, technology know-how

Prior to joining the viaLink Company, Mr. Conover worked at Frito-Lay and PepsiCo,
Inc. in various management roles in manufacturing, distribution, technology,
finance and national sales. His responsibilities included e-commerce and supply
chain management related initiatives. Mr. Conover represented Frito-Lay on the
Grocery Manufacturers Association's direct store delivery (DSD) Committee where
he played a leading role in the search for an e-commerce supply chain solution.
