Foster Farms New Advertising Agency
LIVINGSTON, Calif. - Foster Farms is consolidating its television and integrated
advertising business with San Francisco-based Y&R. The company's decision
is based on Y&R's creative campaign that encompasses the versatility to
promote all product lines in Foster Farms' existing and developing markets.
"The Y&R campaign is a strong, extendable program that we feel will
best represent Foster Farms and our high quality products to consumers throughout
our markets," said VP Marketing David Schanzer.
"We determined that putting our resources into one strong campaign with
one common voice, specifically, this fresh, innovative concept presented by
Y&R, will allow us to achieve our aggressive growth goals. The campaign
works well for our existing business as well as new products".
Foster Farms' new advertising campaign will debut in early 2005. Foster Farms
is a regional producer and advertises in West Coast markets only.
Foster Farms is the largest poultry producer in the Western United States.
Based in Livingston, Calif., the company has remained a family-owned business
since its founding in 1939. Foster Farms branded fresh chicken is always locally
grown on farms it owns or operates in each of its markets (California, Oregon
and Washington). In addition to fresh chicken, Foster Farms produces fresh turkey,
a marinated fresh chicken line, deli meats, corn dogs, a variety of cooked chicken
products and refrigerated chicken entrees. The company produces and delivers
1.3 billion pounds of fresh chicken and turkey each year to retailers, warehouse
clubs and foodservice customers throughout the West.
