ID Magazine Recognizes Dot's Accomplishments With 2003 Trailblazer Awards On

This year's prestigious Trailblazer Award given by ID Magazine will honor the accomplishments of Dot Foods and its groundbreaking strides in the foodservice industry.

The announcement by ID Magazine will be made tomorrow in its electronic publication, ID Management Report.

Dot Foods CEO Pat Tracy and President John Tracy will accept the award in June at the ID Update 2003 Leadership Summit in Chicago.

"The award recognizes pioneers in the foodservice distribution industry who are in the vanguard of change, growth and leadership," said ID Magazine Executive Editor Ihor Dlaboha in a conversation with the Dot Link. He added that the recognition is for "work in improving the foodservice distribution industry through redistribution ingenuity."

Pat says, "We're honored to accept this award, and we do so on behalf of the work and commitment and innovation of all who have participated in Dot's success over the last 43 years. 

"This award is validation of the positive changes driven in the industry by the efforts of the entire Dot team in executing and expanding Dot's core services for the benefit of our business partners."

The award has been given annually for almost three decades, according to Dlaboha. It is one of five awards to be presented, the others being the ID Great Distributor Organization, ID Innovator of the Year, the ID Hall of Fame, and the ID DSR of the Year.
