Keene, NH- May 9, 2005 - Joe Caracappa has joined C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Senior Vice President of Information Technology. Joe will be located in the Keene, NH Headquarters.

Joe joins C&S from Ann Taylor, where he served as CIO and Senior Vice President. Prior to that time, Joe served as CIO and Senior Vice President at Footstar, a major footwear retailer. Before joining Footstar, Joe held various management and consulting positions with Accenture. Joe is a graduate of Columbia University, with a degree in Operations Research.

He brings deep experience in developing leading-edge information technology solutions, and he will be a great asset in enhancing our capabilities to serve our customers even more effectively,” noted Bill Copacino, Chief Administrative Officer of C&S.

Joe, his wife Linda, and their three children are in the process of relocating to the Keene area from New Jersey.

Headquarters

 The C&S corporate headquarters recently relocated to Keene, NH.
