a business segment of Boise Cascade Company, announced today that it expects
to increase pressure-sensitive paper production by an additional 50,000 tons
to over 150,000 tons by the end of 2006. Boise has been a manufacturer of pressure-sensitive
papers for over 30 years and now offers a leading breadth of substrates used

Boise has expanded production of papers tailored to the pressure-sensitive market
by over 60,000 tons." Our intent is to increase our capacity and new product
development to keep pace with the growing global demand for pressure-sensitive
papers, particularly release liners used in label applications.
Additionally, Boise has launched a strategic review to determine the best means
of expanding pressure-sensitive production to meet global customer demand beyond
2006. The review, scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2005, will
select among alternatives that include rebuilding an existing 250" machine
for pressure-sensitive paper production.
"The capacity and capability that Boise is developing in the pressure-sensitive
