Bensenville, Ill. – Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), the nation’s leading independent office products test lab and business consumer advocate, has awarded a “seal of approval” to Boise Paper for the consistently outstanding performance of its 8 ” x 11” X-9™ multipurpose paper throughout BLI’s exhaustive lab tests.
Boise is one of the first paper manufacturers to be awarded BLI’s “Performance Certification,” which specifies that a minimum of one pallet of paper per month be tested for one year in multiple office document imaging devices, which include a mix of copiers, printers, fax machines, digital duplicators, and multifunctional products. “Without a doubt, the key to winning this award is due to the diligent efforts of our manufacturing facilities to maintain the high standards set for X-9™ products,” said Chris Forthaus, director of product management with Boise Paper.
Boise X-9™ paper was enhanced in fall of 2003 by incorporating customer feedback and stringent manufacturing improvements that created a better running, better looking, and more substantial feeling sheet. “We tightened our machine specifications across all three of our manufacturing facilities to ensure performance consistency regardless of where X-9™ paper is produced. It’s evident that our perseverance is paying off, and with this seal of approval, our customers have the confidence that X-9™ paper will deliver reliable performance everyday,” says Forthaus.
BLI tested nearly 3 million sheets of 8" x 11" X-9™ paper on 85 different office document imaging devices from 20 different manufacturers. The testing showed virtually no misfeeding or double-sheeting and no problems related to image quality, dusting or curl.
