Triversity's web-based loss prevention solution rolled out to 32 countries in less than six months
TORONTO - February 12, 2003 - Triversity Inc., a leader in customer-centric software and services for the retail industry, today announced that the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) has implemented FraudWatch at 1,200 stores in 32 countries. After a successful 250-store pilot in June 2002, AAFES rolled out the web-based loss prevention solution worldwide in less than six months.
Although AAFES already enjoyed one of the industry's lowest shrinkage rates, the retailer knew that further improvements would allow it to more effectively serve its customers - the soldiers, airmen and families of the U.S. armed services. AAFES sought a loss prevention solution that could quickly and easily be deployed around the world and that would deliver meaningful, timely reports to the organization's loss prevention professionals. After reviewing products from six vendors, AAFES selected FraudWatch, the industry's first Web-based loss prevention solution.
FraudWatch is designed to fight the growing problem of inventory shrinkage, which cost U.S. retailers more than $31 billion last year, according to the 2002 National Retail Security Survey. FraudWatch is the only Web-based loss prevention solution that requires no software installation prior to use and is delivered via an ASP (Application Service Provider) model, offering users up-to-the-minute information anytime, from any location via an Internet browser. The flexibility of FraudWatch was a key selling point for AAFES. Triversity provided the ASP hosting of FraudWatch during the pilot project, then AAFES switched to internal hosting for the full rollout.
" AAFES required a web-enabled solution to distribute information easily and immediately to our loss prevention professionals," said Luis Merced, Chief Information Officer for AAFES.
"AAFES is a world-class retailer and a recognized leader in utilizing retail technology," said David Thomas, President and CEO of Triversity Inc. "AAFES shares Triversity's vision of extending transaction processing into additional applications that can drive increased profitability. We look forward to expanding our long-standing relationship with AAFES. "
