Ahold USA's Betts Named President of the Network of Executive Women

Kimberly Betts, Director of Business Process Implementation for Ahold USA, has been named President of the Network of Executive Women. The Network of Executive Women (NEW) is a national organization of women executives representing consumer products and retail industries in the United States and works to promote and encourage career opportunities for women. NEW has grown to over 450 members representing more than 30 corporations.
William Grize, President and CEO of Ahold USA operations said, "We are very proud to support Kim in her new position as President of NEW. Her tenure as president, combined with the support we at Ahold provide to NEW, will help us continue to advance opportunities for women within our organization. We are proud to be an active partner with NEW!" In addition, Gary Preston Chief Administrative Officer of Ahold USA and member of the Board of Directors for NEW said, "We applaud and support the leadership role that Kimberly has undertaken with NEW."
The NEW executive committee also announced several other leadership changes: Helayne Angelus, General manager of the K-Mart/Fleming team at Proctor & Gamble has been named NEW Vice President and Elizabethe Bogart, Vice President of Strategic Industry Initiatives for the National Association of Convenience Stores, has been appointed chair of NEW_s Programming and Educational Committee.
