ADM Directors Declare Cash Dividend

The Board of Directors of Archer Daniels Midland Company today declared a cash dividend of eight and one-half cents a share on the Company's stock payable June 9, 2005 to Shareholders of record May 19, 2005.
This is ADM’s 314th cash dividend and 294th consecutive quarterly payment, a record of 73 years of uninterrupted dividends. As of March 31, 2005 there were 656,568,851 shares of ADM stock outstanding.Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) is a world leader in agricultural processing.
