Perdue Farms voluntarily recalls restaurant product; supermarket products not affected
Perdue Farms Incorporated has voluntarily recalled 230,700 pounds of cooked chicken breast strips produced exclusively for restaurant use due to possible undercooking. This recall does not affect any other PERDUE? product. The recalled product is not sold in any retail grocery stores.
The chicken strips were shipped to food service distribution centers in Alabama, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia for further delivery to a limited number of restaurants. All of the potentially affected product has been identified and recalled and all restaurant operators who may have received the product have been notified.
The problem was discovered by the company. There have been no reports of illness associated with the product.
