O'Neal Steel acquires Aerodyne Ulbrich Alloys
Birmingham-based O'Neal Steel has acquired the assets of Aerodyne Ulbrich Alloys Inc. of South Windsor, Conn., for an undisclosed amount.
O'Neal president Bill Jones says the acquisition, which also has a branch in Fresno, Calif., will be known as Aerodyne Alloys LLC and will retain Greg Chase as president. Plans are to keep all 20 Aerodyne employees. Aerodyne specializes in distribution of nickel-based alloys, cobalt, titanium and stainless steel, primarily to aerospace and energy markets in the United States and Asia. O'Neal, founded in 1922, and its subsidiary, Metalwest, have 41 locations.
