GROCERS SUPPLY SELECTS NETASPX AS THEIR MANAGED APPLICATIONS PROVIDER
HERNDON, Va., February 23, 2004 — Grocers Supply Company, a Houston, Texas based food wholesaler, chose netASPx to migrate and upgrade their Lawson Software applications onto the netASPx ASP utility, and provide ongoing operations and support for those applications. netASPx, a leading managed applications provider, completed the successful migration and upgrade of Grocers Supply's Finance and Accounting, Procurement and Human Resources applications.
"We have been looking for years for the opportunity to implement the ASP business model. We just needed two things, the right application suite and a solid partner. We found both last year with Lawson Software and netASPx. I can say in all honesty that netASPx has exceeded our company's expectations," said David Bash, Grocers Supply CIO.
Grocers Supply's applications are hosted in netASPx' secure Operations Center in Minneapolis, MN. From this location, netASPx acts as an extension of the Grocers Supply team insuring application functionality and availability.
"netASPx is committed to driving down our customers' Total Cost of Ownership, managing the risks associated with their applications, and delivering superior service levels," said John M. Whiteside, netASPx President and CEO. "By outsourcing to netASPx, Grocers Supply realizes these benefits, enabling their executives to focus on more strategic initiatives. We are delighted to welcome them as part of our growing customer base."
