Dawn Food Products Inc.

Dawn Food Products, Inc provides pre-baked and fully baked products -- as well as bases, equipment, fillings, frozen dough, icings, ingredients, and mixes -- to the food industry. Its customers include food service companies, institutional bakeries, restaurants, retail outlets, and supermarkets. Dawn Food Products also offers support services such as merchandising and marketing. In 2004 it acquired the bakery business of Bunge North America. Owned by the Jones family, Dawn Food Products has operations throughout the US and in 13 other countries.

1920 -	Dawn founded in Jackson, Michigan
1966 -	Dawn moved to new mix plant on Micor Drive in Jackson, Michigan
1982 -	Acquisition of Bessire & Co. provides wet manufactured products (fillings, icings, glazes) and is Dawn's first entry into distribution
1985 -	Purchase of Baker Boy in Denver, CO allows for manufacture of wet and dry products, and our first distribution center in the west
1987 -	Dawn acquires first frozen plant in Crown Point, IN, producing mainly puff pastry, danish, and muffins
1989 -	Purchased facility in England with dry and frozen capabilities initiated international expansion
1997 -	Acquisition of Knaubs cake plant in York, PA gives Dawn the capability of producing decorated finished cakes Dawn acquires Mixco Internacional SA de CV in Mexico
2000 -	Dawn acquires Olender Company in Michigan
2001 -	Built automated cake plant adjoining the Atlanta distribution center Dawn acquires Frisbie Food Company in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK Dawn acquires Atlas Bakery Supplies, Inc. of Jackson, MI
2002 -	Dawn acquires CSP Foods (Canada) New manufacturing location in St. Peter, IL
2003 -	New manufacturing location in Fort Wayne, IN
2004 -	New manufacturing location in Steenbergen, Netherlands Dawn acquires Bunge North America Bakery Division
